POMSOX closed the week on a quiet note with both Kina Securities indices remaining unchanged. The main index or KSi was steady at 4,551 points and similarly the home index or KSHi was maintained at 9,563.28 points.
Stocks traded today were unmoved.
Banking and financial stock Bank South Pacific Ltd (BSP) evened out at K8.00. Followed closely by cum retail stock City Pharmacy Ltd (CPL) unchanged at K1.18.
The day’s trading recorded a total of 4,232 shares valued at K14,930.50.
U.S stocks unraveled early in overnight trading after reports signaled that the U.K was on track to exit the E.U in a landmark vote. The Dow Jones Industrial Average declined 609.00 points or 3.40% to 17,306.00 points. Japanese stocks tumbled to more than a four-month low as voting returns suggested Britain has opted to leave the EU. The Nikkei share average plunged 1,286.60 points or 7.92% to 14,951.75 points. The Australian share market has dropped more than 3 per cent, which was the markets biggest one-day fall in nine months. The benchmark S&P/ASX 200 index was down 167.5 points or 3.17% to 5,113.2 points.
