POMSoX has closed the week slightly higher helped by a key mining stock. The main index or KSi advanced 9.64 points (+0.26%) to complete at 3,656.86 points. However, the Home index, the KSHi was unchanged at 8,131.33 points.
One stock recorded gains with no stock that fell for the Friday’s session.
Oil Search Ltd (OSH) closed 11toea higher at K18.00
Bank South Pacific Ltd (BSP) closed K7.78 flat, Credit Corporation Ltd (CCP) at K2.70 and Highlands Pacific Ltd (HIG) the junior cap mining stock concluded the trading session at 20toea today.
Friday’s session registered a total of 17,531 shares valued at K31,954.28.
In New York, U.S stocks were in the red following mixed economic data and earnings reports. The Dow Jones Industrial Average was flat at 16,501.65. Asian stocks struggled on Friday as fears of escalating Ukraine crisis eclipsed upbeat U.S economic data and robust. Japan’s Nikkei share average added 24 points or 0.17% to end at 14,429 points. Australian share market closed Friday observing the Anzac Day.
