One out of two stocks traded today gained versus nil losses.
Dual-listed stock Oil Search Ltd (OSH) was the winning stock for the day, up by K1 to close high at K17.00.
Credit Corporation Ltd (CCP) was the only other stock that ended unchanged at K1.81.
The day’s trading registered a total 3,495 shares worth K29,035.00.
U.S stocks closed near session highs with the Nasdaq Composite notching a record close as the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 14.06 points or 0.7% to finish at 2,177.18 points. Japan’s Nikkei share average edged down as investors took profits on financial stocks that soared in the previous session. The benchmark Nikkei edged down 53.60 points or 0.32% to 16,754.02 points. The Australian share market tracked higher for a fourth straight session as the week’s interest rates decisions by central banks in the US and Japan continue to stoke investor demand. The S&P/ASX 200 benchmark index was up 21.2 points, or 0.34% at 5,485.1 points.
