The week closed on a rather quiet note as one stock index ended on the red on Friday’s POMSOX trading session. The Kina Securities main index KSi was unchanged at 5,205.69 points while the Kina Securities Home Index KSHi was down 13.32 points or 0.12% to 11,005.80 points.
Financial stock Credit Corporation Ltd (CCP) declined by 2toea to close lower at K1.78.
Meanwhile, Bank South Pacific Ltd (BSP) was unmoved at K9.50.
The day’s trading recorded a total of 22,726 shares worth K61,497.00.
The Dow snapped a nine-day winning streak as three major U.S indices recorded modest losses as the DJIA slumped 53.36 points or 0.24% to 22,359 points. Japan’s Nikkei average fell in choppy trade moving away from two-year highs as rising geopolitical tensions over North Korea sapped risk appetite. The Nikkei slipped 36.47 points or 0.18% to 20,311.01 points. The Australian stock market advanced after three straight days of losses with banks and telecom stocks among the leading gainers. The S&P/ASX 200 benchmark index rose 9.80 points or 0.17% to 5,665.20 points.
