Both Kina Securities Indices were weaker on Friday’s POMSOX trading session. The Main Index, KSi declined 11.95 points or 0.15% to 3,676.32 points. Likewise, the Home Index or KSHi was lower 7,703.99 points, down 207.62 points or 2.62%.
One stock fell registered on POMSOX today against none that gained.
A dual-listed exploration stock Highlands Pacific Ltd (HIG) led the unchanged in terms of trading volume at 17 toea even. Meanwhile, pharmaceutical and retail stock City Pharmacy Ltd (CPL) traded even at K1.80.
On the downside, a financial institution company Bank South Pacific Ltd (BSP) was the leading stock that traded even in terms of trading volume of 3,563,625 at K7.00, down by 39 toea.
The day’s trading session registered 3,574,680 units at a share worth of K24,949,065.28
U.S stocks ended modestly higher as the S&P 500 eked out a gain finishing at a record level for the 21st time this year. The DJIA rose 14.48 points or 0.09% to 16,921.46 points. In Asia, stocks closed mostly lower falling from a six-year high, pairing the longest run of weekly gains for the regional benchmark index. Japan’s Nikkei share average declined 3 points or 0.02% to end at 15,358 points. Likewise, Australia’s benchmark S&P/ASX 200 index ended 4 points lower or 0.20% to 2,019.74 points as all sectors performed negatively today.
