Friday POMSOX trading was rather quiet with both Kina Securities Indices staying unchanged. The Main index, KSi remained at 3,573.55 points while the Home Index or KSHi was flat at 9,529.96 points.
PNG’s leading financial banking stock Bank South Pacific Ltd (BSP) traded at K7.30, whilst Credit Corp (CCP) ended at K2.40. Kina securities Ltd was not traded and remained at K32.60. On ASX, the stock jumped 7c to close at $1.24 (High: $1.25).
The trading registered thin volume of 36,526 units valued at K96,227.20.
In off-shore news, U.S stocks was active throughout the day but closed lower after the Federal Reserve left interest rates unchanged. The Dow Jones Industrial Average declined 65.21 points or 0.39% to 16,674.74 points. The Nikkei Share Average slumped 311.25 points or 1.69% to 18,121.02 points as the Index snapped a three-day winning streak on Friday after the U.S Fed’s unchanged interest rates. In Australian market, the performance was positive with the S&P/ ASX 200 advancing 34.08 points to end at 5,180.90 points.
