Friday’s trading session was quiet as both Kina Securities stock indices remained unchanged. The Kina Securities main index KSi was steady at 5,573.89 points and likewise the Kina Securities Home Index or the KSHi was maintained at 10,933.32 points.

In the overseas markets, the Dow Jones industrial average rose 205.60 points or 0.81% to 25,574.73 on Thursday, with Boeing as the biggest contributor of gains. Boeing is one of the companies that stands to benefit the most if economic growth retches up. The Asian markets scraped back slight gains on Friday after finishing slightly lower at the close of market, with most major indexes in the region tracking the strong lead from Wall Street. Japan’s Nikkei 225 traded on a negative at 59.46 points or -0.25% to 23,650.97. Meanwhile, the Australian share market closed the week on a positive note. The benchmark S&P/ASX200 index rose 0.04% to close at 6,070.1 points on Friday, as gains in the energy, health and materials sectors were weighed down by weaker financials, consumer and real estate stocks.
