Friday session on POMSOX was quiet as there were only two stocks that traded. The Kina Securities Index or KSi declined 0.40 points to 3,653.67 points. Meanwhile the Kina Securities Home Index, KSHi, remained steady.
Two leading financial institutions Bank South Pacific Ltd (BSP) and Credit Corporation Ltd (CCP) were the only stocks that traded unchanged today, ending at K7.70 and K2.70 respectively.
Total shares registered were 14,000 units worth of K62,800.
In overseas news, U.S stocks pared gains to end slightly weaker as the Dow Jones Industrial Average added 36 points or 0.25% to close at 14,200 points. Asian stocks were mostly down on Friday as tense situation in Ukraine cautioned investors despite tamed Chinese inflation reports. Japan’s Nikkei share average fell 15.67 points or 0.29% to end at 5,461.10 points. In Australia, the market ended lower with the benchmark index S&P/ASX 200 shedding 15.97 points or 0.29% to 5,460.80 points.
