The day’s POMSOX trading session ended on a rather quiet note as both stock indices were maintained on Friday. The Kina Securities main index KSi was unchanged at 5,463.01 points and similarly the Kina Securities Home Index KSHi was steady at 11,011.35 points.
Bank South Pacific Ltd and Credit Corporation Ltd (CCP) were both evened out at K9.41 and K1.85 flat respectively .
Junior cap explorer Highlands Pacific Ltd (HIG) was also unmoved at 20toea at the close.
A registered volume of 39,841 shares were traded at a value of K18,224.57.
In markets abroad, U.S stocks ended higher as investors cautiously awaited the market reaction to the two-day summit between Trump and the Chinese president as the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 14.80 points or 0.07% at 20,662.95 points. Japanese stocks hit a four-month low after US strike on Syria hurt risk sentiments with the Nikkei share average down a mere 0.1% at 18,577.92 points, its weakest since December 7. The Australian stock market gained following modest gains overnight on Wall Street and higher crude oil prices as the S&P/ASX 200 benchmark index rose 21.80 points or 0.37% at 5,878.10 points.
