The week ended with POMSOX trading session amid thin trading as both stock indices maintained. The Kina Securities Main index KSi was steady at 5,467.04 points followed by the Kina Securities Home Index (KSHi) unchanged at 10,890.73 points.
Leading stock in terms of market capitalisation, Bank South Pacific Ltd (BSP) was the only stock traded unchanged today. The stock maintained at K9.50 trading a total of 1,397 shares valued at K13,271.50.
In off-shore markets, Dow closes above 25,000 for the first time after strong jobs data. The Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 152.45 points, or 0.61%, to 25,075.13 points. In Asia, Japan’s Nikkei share average extended the previous session’s gains on Friday, probing 26-year highs as banking and brokerage shares rose. The Nikkei was up 0.2 percent at 23,547.78. the Australian markets saw the S&P/ASX 200 Index added 45 points or 0.74 % for a weekly gain of 0.94% to 23,694.
