POMSOX trading today ended the week in a moderate session resulting in mixed outcome for the Kina Securities indices. The Main Index KSi collected 2.55 points to 3,607.56 points but the home index KSHi went south, falling 31.94 points or -0.2% to 9,860.66 points.
One stock gained compared to another that lost.
The positive was attributed to the Oil and gas stock Oil Search Ltd (OSH) that advanced to 17.05, adding 5toea.
On the downside, Bank South Pacific Ltd (BSP) registered some trades 6 toea lower at K7.12.
Junior cap miner Marengo Mining Ltd (MMC) and another agricultural stock NGP Agmark Ltd closed unchanged at 6toea and 79toea respectively. Lender Credit Corporation Ltd (CCP) ended at K2.55 flat.
A total of 47,069 units of shares were registered at a value of K81,201.97.
In overseas, U.S stocks ended lower before Friday’s job data for November with modest losses and retreated from records high . The Dow Jones Industrial Average shed 12.52 points or 0.07% to 17,900 points. The Nikkei collected 33 points or 0.19% to 17,920 points, staying near multi-year highs, shrugging off ECBs delay to a hoped for Eurozone easing. The Average. The Australian ASX share market extended losses led by sell-offs from miners and energy suppliers and a lower Aussie dollar. The benchmark S&P/ASX 200 dipped 33.47 points or 0.62% to 5,335.33 points.
