A rather quiet trading session on POMSOX today which saw only three stocks that traded. The Kina Securities Index, KSi, was flat at 3,647.22 points. Meanwhile the Home Index or KSHi stayed at 8,131.33 points.
Kina Asset Management Ltd (KAM) closed the most active in terms of trading volume at K1.05. Leaders in financial holdings Bank South Pacific Ltd (BSP) and Credit Corporation Ltd (CCP) registered at K7.78 and K2.70 respectively.
There were 16,679 units done with worth of K80,885.39
In overseas markets, U.S stocks retreated overnight after an unexpected fall in home sales report. The Dow Jones Industrial Average shed 12.72 points or 0.08% to end at 16,501.65 points. Likewise, Asian stocks declined led by the fall in U.S stocks, as Japan’s Nikkei share average dropped 141 points or 0.97% to 14,405 points. Australian market reached its highest point since GFC, buoyed mostly by the four big banks with the benchmark S&P/ASX 200 adding 13.23 points or 0.24% to close at 5,531.00 points.
