Tuesday’s POMSOX trading session was rather quiet as there were no trades done with both Kina Securities stock indices ending unchanged. The Kina Securities main index KSi was maintained at 4,647.03 points while the Kina Securities Home Index KSHi was unmoved at 9,821.37 points.

U.S. stocks closed lower in overnight trading, retreating from record levels after a drop in oil prices hit energy and materials stocks. The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 77.86 points, 0.4% to 18,492.99 points. Japan’s Nikkei share average fell to a near 2-week low on Tuesday as the yen firmed against the dollar ahead of the U.S. Federal Reserve’s two-day policy meeting, hurting shares of exporters. The Nikkei fell to 16,383.04 points, its lowest closing level since July 13. The Australian share market has finished slightly higher as investors punt that second quarter inflation figures will prompt the Reserve Bank of Australia to cut interest rates next week. The benchmark S&P/ASX 200 index rose 3.9 points, or 0.07% to 5,537.5 points.
