Both Kina Securities Indices were unchanged amid quiet trading on POMSoX Wednesday. The main index or KSi was steady at 3,617.12 points, while the home index or KSHi was flat at 9,660.25 points at the close.
Only Two stocks traded and remained unchanged at close.
Credit Corporation Ltd (CCP) and Bank South Pacific Ltd (BSP) were the only two stocks traded today, closing at K2.40 & K7.44 respectively.
The day’s trading recorded a light volume of 10,064 shares at a value of K50,653.92.
U.S. stocks gave up earlier gains to end little changed in overnight trading, as falling oil prices overshadowed strong earnings from giant retailers Wal-Mart Stores and Home Depot Inc. The Dow Jones Industrial Average finished 6.49 points (+0.04%) higher at 17,489.50 points. In Asia, The Japanese Nikkei share average rose 18.55 points or (+0.09) to 19,649.18 points in choppy trading on Wednesday as the dollar’s strength against the yen helped stoke otherwise risk-off sentiment. The Australian share market closed higher despite a poor start as investors bought into the major banks. The benchmark S&P/ASX200 index was up 14.90 points (0.29%) at 5,133.10 points.
