The POMSOX shares slid lower today in reaction to the sell-down of a home-listed financial stock. Both Kina Securities stock indices headed negatively. The main index KSi was down 1.55 points or 0.44% to 3,562.59 points. Likewise, the Kina Securities Home Index KSHi fell 49.25 points or 0.51% to 9,598.65 points.
The fall in the indices was attributable to a leading banking and financial stock, Bank South Pacific Ltd (BSP), down by 5toea to close at K7.45.
Meanwhile, Credit Corporation Ltd (CCP) traded unchanged at K2.30.
Today’s trade registered today were 254,163 shares worth K1,374,368.60
U.S stocks closed lower in overnight trading, as a sharp selloff in energy and utilities dragged indexes lower. The Dow Jones Industrial Average declined 158.67 points or 0.89% to 17,729.68 points. Tokyo stocks edged down in choppy trade but losses were limited on weak yen while investors await outcome of ECB’s meeting. The Nikkei Index closed flat at 1.63 points or 0.01% at 19,939.76 points. In Australia the S&P/ASX200 Index fell 23.14 points or 0.44% to 5,235.20 points as shares were generally lower, driven down by falls in commodity prices.
