Kina Bank today announced the opening of its new branch at Vision City Mall in Port Moresby.
Prime Minister, Honourable Peter O’Neill officially opened the new branch in a small ceremony witnessed by Bank of Papua New Guinea Governor Mr Loi Bakani, Chairman of Kina Board, Sir Rabbie Namaliu, Kina Board members and staff.
Kina’s CEO, Mr Syd Yates said that Kina’s vision is for prosperous customers and communities, underpinned by progressive, accessible financial services and this new branch is aligned with this vision.
“At Kina, helping customers improve their circumstances is key for the business and I have continued to reinforce the importance of embracing a customer-focused culture across the business,” said Mr Yates.
“As you can see this branch has been designed with our customers’ needs in mind, so it is easier for them to talk with our staff members. It’s less about transactions, though you can still do them here, and more about interactions with our customers one-on-one.”
“Importantly, the launch of this new branch today highlights Kina’s ongoing commitment to PNG and its people.”
The new Kina Bank branch also has an EsiLoan and Wealth Management desks with 15 staff to serve customers.
Kina Securities Limited is a home-grown PNG company listed on both the Australian and Port Moresby Stock Exchanges and also becoming Papua New Guinea’s fourth largest bank.
